KONYAMUN’26 is a comprehensive Model United Nations (MUN) program established in cooperation with the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, brought to life through the participation and joint efforts of 15 schools in Konya. Going beyond being the initiative of a single school, it serves as a strong youth and diplomacy platform representing Konya.

KONYAMUN’26 is an academic and social event designed to encourage young people to think, discuss, and develop solutions on international relations, diplomacy, and global issues. While aiming to improve participants’ communication, leadership, negotiation, public speaking, and problem-solving skills, the program also provides a dynamic environment where they can engage with different cultures and develop a multidimensional perspective.

Meticulously developed since June, the KONYAMUN’26 project has gained a strong organizational infrastructure through numerous official meetings and detailed planning processes. With the completion of the application and team recruitment phases, both the organization and academic teams responsible for executing the conference have been fully established.

Through various committees organized within the program, participants will address current global crises and propose solutions, while multilingual sessions will offer them a realistic diplomacy experience. Bringing together young people from across Türkiye and abroad, KONYAMUN also aims to contribute to the national and international recognition of Konya.

The main objective of KONYAMUN’26 is to help young people better understand major global issues and develop the ability to generate solutions. In this context, the project encourages participants to think, debate, and produce ideas, while supporting their development in self-expression, teamwork, and foreign language use.

As a result of months of dedication and effort, KONYAMUN’26 stands out as a visionary and prestigious organization that reflects Konya’s potential, unites young people, and aims to create an impact on an international level. It offers participants not only academic and personal growth, but also an unforgettable experience that strengthens intercultural dialogue.
